With release now only days away, IO Interactive has officially unveiled the launch trailer for 007 First Light — offering one final cinematic look at Bond’s first major mission before players finally step into the role themselves.
The trailer blends emotional character moments, explosive action and several intriguing new scenes from across the globe. We see additional moments from Bond’s tense “job interview” with M, more footage of his arrival in Vietnam and the Arctic, hard-hitting fights inside a London nightclub and in Aleph, and a highly mysterious exploration sequence involving John Greenway and Charlotte Roth inside what appears to be a massive underground facility.
After more than a decade of waiting for Bond’s return to gaming, the road to launch is finally almost over — but Bond’s greatest mission may only just be beginning.

Strict Security Measures Ahead of Launch
Physical retailers also appear to be operating under particularly strict security measures ahead of launch. Austrian retailer GamesOnly, for example, informed customers that publishers are enforcing tighter-than-usual shipping restrictions for 007 First Light. According to the retailer, physical copies will only be handed over shortly before release, making earlier shipments impossible despite preparations already being in place. The goal is likely to prevent spoilers and avoid any early break of the game’s official street date. The timing is additionally affected by the May 25 holiday, which limits logistics operations in some regions. The situation underlines just how carefully the launch of Bond’s long-awaited gaming return is being coordinated worldwide.
Over the past months, much of our reporting, analysis and speculation surrounding 007 First Light has been based entirely on officially released material from IO Interactive — from trailers and developer diaries to screenshots and interviews.
Now that launch is finally around the corner, we want players to have the chance to discover Bond’s new adventure, its mysteries and its surprises for themselves first. Major story spoilers and late-game revelations therefore will not immediately become part of our coverage. And as deeper discussions naturally become unavoidable over time, we will do our best to clearly mark spoiler-related content whenever possible.
