007 First Light Reveals Full PC Specifications and Advanced NVIDIA Features

IO Interactive has officially released the full PC specifications for 007 First Light — offering one of the clearest looks yet at the game’s technical ambitions ahead of launch on May 27, 2026.

Alongside the hardware requirements, the studio also confirmed several major PC-focused features, including uncapped framerates, NVIDIA DLSS 4.5 Super Resolution, and DLSS Dynamic Multi Frame Generation support at launch. According to IO Interactive, these technologies are intended to deliver both “great image quality and smooth performance” on supported hardware.

Even more demanding visual upgrades are already planned for after release. IO Interactive confirmed that Path Tracing and DLSS Ray Reconstruction will arrive in Summer 2026, aiming to push the game’s lighting and reflections even further on high-end systems.

A Surprisingly Scalable Hardware Range

One of the most interesting takeaways from the newly published specifications is how scalable the game appears to be.

The minimum requirements target 1080p at 30 FPS using hardware such as a GTX 1660 or Radeon RX 5700, paired with CPUs like the Intel i5-9500 or Ryzen 5 3500. Meanwhile, the recommended settings aim for 1080p at 60 FPS with an RTX 3060 Ti or RX 6700 XT.

IO Interactive visually groups the CPU requirements for the Recommended and Enthusiast tiers together, listing the Intel i5-13500 and AMD Ryzen 5 7600 as the baseline processors for higher-end play.

For players targeting higher resolutions, the “Enthusiast” category is split into two tiers: 1440p at 60 FPS using an RTX 4070 or RX 7800 XT, and 4K at 60 FPS using an RTX 4080 or RX 7900 XTX.

The highest “Ultra” category targets 4K at 200+ FPS with DLSS 4.5 enabled, requiring hardware such as the RTX 5080 and 32 GB of RAM.

Interestingly, IO Interactive notes that DLSS is not enabled for the Minimum, Recommended, and Enthusiast categories, potentially suggesting that many of the listed targets are based on native rendering rather than DLSS-assisted performance

Additional confirmed PC requirements and features include an 80 GB SSD, Windows 10/11 64-bit, uncapped framerate support, in-depth customization options, input remapping, subtitle customization, accessibility settings, audio profiles, and narration options.

Last year, IO Interactive has also confirmed Xbox Play Anywhere support for 007 First Light, alongside optimization for the new ROG Xbox Ally handheld systems.

In theory, this should allow players to access the game across Xbox consoles and Windows PC with some form of synchronized progression. However, IO Interactive previously stated during a developer livestream that full save files are generally not shared across platforms. However, some online elements, such as challenges or related online progression, may transfer, while leaderboards remain platform-specific. It currently remains unclear how this will apply specifically within the Xbox Play Anywhere ecosystem.

Still Waiting for Console Performance Details

So far, IO Interactive has not yet shared detailed console performance targets for 007 First Light.

What we do know is that the game will feature both Quality and Performance modes on consoles. However, more detailed information — including resolution targets, framerates, and footage captured directly on the base PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S models — is still expected.

With the game now approaching launch and likely entering Gold status in the coming week, additional technical details may not be far away. Many players will also be hoping to see more direct gameplay footage from the standard console models rather than only high-end PC captures.

For now, however, the newly released PC specifications already suggest that IO Interactive is aiming for a technically ambitious but broadly scalable Bond experience across a wide range of hardware configurations.
