Two Minutes, Big Impact: The New 007: First Light Gameplay Trailer

At PlayStation’s State of Play, IO Interactive showed over 30 minutes of uninterrupted gameplay from 007: First Light. But alongside that headline reveal, a shorter gameplay trailer of around two minutes quietly debuted — and it manages to add fresh intrigue.

Most of the trailer recuts the already familiar Slovakia mission at the Grand Carpathian castle, condensing Bond’s limousine arrival at the hotel, his infiltration of the castle, a high-speed chase in the Aston Martin DBS, and the explosive fight across the airfield and around a looming cargo plane into a sharp cinematic montage. But it also delivers new exclusive scenes from the London Gala at Webb Industries, where Bond is tasked with tracking a contract killer through the glittering event — including what appears to be a tense rooftop pursuit at night.

In one scene, the contract killer Bond is assigned to track in London comes into view — a target whose capture could reveal the network pulling the strings behind him, and who, intriguingly, bears a strong resemblance to the suspicious page glimpsed earlier at the Grand Carpathian hotel.

The chase carries Bond onto a towering construction crane high above the city, in a vertigo-inducing pursuit that instantly recalls Craig’s own nail-biting sequence in Casino Royale. It all ends with the hitman brutally kicking Bond off a rooftop — a moment that leaves him, and us, hanging in suspense.
