The Banker Is Back

IO Interactive has announced the return of Le Chiffre as an Elusive Target in Hitman: World of Assassination, giving players another chance to eliminate the cold-blooded financier from Casino Royale, portrayed by award-winning actor Mads Mikkelsen.

The mission was first available in June and July, and will now return from August 25 to September 14 — as part of the Season of the High Stakes event, beginning right after Gamescom 2025, where fans are eagerly awaiting major reveals and gameplay footage from 007: First Light.

Is the Reward Back, Too?

While this Elusive Target is part of the Hitman universe, it has a direct connection to IOI’s Bond project. When the mission was first made available in June, players who simply played the contract in Hitman — success wasn’t required — unlocked a sleek Casino Suit Skin in 007: First Light.

Inspired by Le Chiffre’s formal look during the Montenegro poker scenes in Casino Royale, the outfit quickly became a fan favorite and a stylish reward tied to the wider 007 experience.

With the mission now officially returning, players are naturally curious: Will the Casino Suit be unlockable again?

What Are the Odds?

That very question came up when IOI’s franchise director Jonathan Lacaille spoke with VideoGamesChronicle. At the time, the mission’s return hadn’t been announced — but looking back, Lacaille’s comments now feel like a clear hint.

“It’s a secret that I have to keep. You will find out!”

Pressed further, Lacaille added:

“I mean, people can see what we’ve done with other Elusive Targets and give it their best guess.”

At the time, nothing was confirmed. But just days after Lacaille’s suggestive comment, IO Interactive announced Le Chiffre’s second return — coming right after Gamescom.

So yes, the mission is back.
And the Casino Suit? Not officially confirmed — but with Gamescom likely to bring in a wave of new fans, the timing suggests a second chance might be just around the corner.
