IO Interactive’s Creator Program Kicks Off with 007: First Light Gameplay Reveal

What is the Creator Program?

IO Interactive’s Creator Program runs on Keymailer, the influencer platform that works in tandem with Game Press. It has previously supported Hitman: World of Assassination and now extends to 007: First Light. While IOI has not yet shared specific details about the 007: First Light Creator Challenge on its own channels, the program is designed to bring creators closer to the studio’s projects.

The initiative offers early access, official assets, and community-driven rewards, aiming to support long-term collaboration between developers and creators.

The 007 First Light Creator Challenge

At the center of the program is the Creator Challenge, a points-based system that rewards content creation around 007: First Light.

  • Short form content (quick reactions or posts) → earns points
  • Long form content (videos, in-depth articles) → earns more points
  • Restreaming the official gameplay at the PlayStation State of Play on September 3, 11:00am PT → earns the most points
  • Only content tagged with #007FirstLight qualifies
  • Simply reposting trailers does not count toward points

Top contributors will receive rewards, including a full game key at launch. Creators who pass the 100-point threshold but miss the top spots will still be entered into a raffle for additional prizes.

Double Points in September

The program begins with an extra incentive:
— All content published between September 1–15 will count for double points.

This aligns directly with the State of Play gameplay reveal, making it the perfect starting event for creators who want to participate.

What creators get

Beyond the Challenge itself, members of the Creator Program will have access to:

  • Early news and announcements
  • Invitations to closed showcases, events, and playtests
  • Alpha, beta, and full game codes
  • Official digital assets such as trailers, artwork, and soundtracks
  • Community giveaways and special drops

The Keymailer website notes that there are no mandatory requirements – creators can choose how much or how little they want to engage.

The bigger picture

This type of Creator Program is already widely used across the games industry, with publishers such as Xbox Game Studios, Konami, Warner Bros., Crytek, Team17, Bandai Namco, Plaion, Frontier, and Techland distributing campaigns and codes through the same system.

Notably, IO Interactive’s own Hitman: World of Assassination is also part of the lineup – and with 007: First Light, Bond now joins a slate of blockbuster titles including Silent Hill 2 Remake, Killing Floor III, Grounded, Black Desert, and Doom: The Dark Ages.

Looking ahead

The details of the Creator Program first appeared via Keymailer, and it is expected that IO Interactive will highlight it more prominently as 007: First Light moves closer to launch. With the campaign beginning alongside the State of Play gameplay reveal, the program is likely to become an active hub for creators in the months ahead.

While several content creators have already announced their participation in the initiative, we are currently not part of the program.

Further information and options to participate can be found directly via the official website:
