IO Interactive is beginning to roll out its promotional efforts for 007: First Light. As part of this year’s Develop:Brighton conference, the studio hosted a Game Dev Mixer, offering a relaxed setting for developers to connect — and giving IOI a subtle opportunity to spotlight its upcoming game.
Branding in the Right Place
A Land Rover Defender wrapped in 007: First Light branding was parked outside Lees House, home of IOI’s Brighton studio. Featuring the game’s logo and the “Earn the Number” tagline, the vehicle underlined Defender’s role as an official brand partner.
At the Mixer venue itself, themed decorations referencing First Light were also on display, reinforcing the presence of the project without revealing too much.
A Steady UK Presence
IO Interactive has operated its Brighton studio since 2021, working in parallel with teams in Copenhagen, Malmö, and Barcelona. The office is part of a growing local games industry hub. Other notable studios in the region include Futurlab, known for PowerWash Simulator, and Creative Assembly in nearby Horsham, creators of the Total War series and Alien: Isolation.
IOI’s presence in Brighton adds to a well-established development scene — and with First Light moving into the spotlight, it may soon be one of the city’s most talked-about projects.
