007 First Light Surpasses 2.2 Million Wishlists – Gilded Tuxedo Unlocked

The Fourth Wishlist Tier Is Live

The fourth and final wishlist milestone for 007 First Light has officially been reached — and then comfortably surpassed.

IO Interactive confirmed that the game has now crossed 2.2 million wishlists, clearing the previously set 1.5 million tier and unlocking a new cosmetic reward: The Gilded Tuxedo.

Described as adding “an extra touch of flair and elegance” when the mission calls for it, the outfit leans into Bond’s more theatrical side. IO Interactive has occasionally presented these outfits with a playful wink, suggesting moments when Bond might prefer to stand out rather than blend in. However, during Gamescom 2025, the studio clarified that 007 First Light does not feature a disguise system comparable to Hitman. Outfits do not affect mission access, NPC behavior, or stealth mechanics — they are purely visual customizations.

The Gilded Tuxedo will be automatically added to players’ IOI accounts and will be available at launch.

It is described as a “unique” skin — although IO Interactive has yet to clarify what meaningfully distinguishes it from, for example, a Deluxe skin.

A Consistent Gold Motif

Gold has not appeared by accident throughout the game‘s promotion campaign. Over the past months, several unlockable or purchasable cosmetics have followed the same aesthetic direction — from the Gilded Wraith pistol skin and the Gleaming Gadget Skin Pack to the Golden Gun skin and the Obsidian Gold Suit.

Seen in that broader context, The Gilded Tuxedo feels less like a standalone reward and more like a continuation of a visual identity. Whether subtle accents or statement pieces, IO Interactive has embraced a refined Bond aesthetic that blends classic elegance with modern polish.

Whether this recurring use of gold is purely stylistic — or hints at a deeper thematic thread within the story — remains to be seen. For now, the motif is too consistent to ignore.

The Wishlist Timeline So Far

  • 500,000 wishlists – August 1, 2025
  • 1,000,000 wishlists – August 21, 2025
  • 1,250,000 wishlists – October 5, 2025
  • 2,200,000+ wishlists – February 11, 2026

The early surge after reveal was strong, and growth has remained steady ever since — a healthy sign ahead of launch.

Not all milestone rewards have rolled out yet. The promised stream overlays are still expected before release, and the previously announced developer AMA is scheduled for early this year. Fans can already submit questions via the official Discord channel, indicating that parts of the milestone campaign are still unfolding.

A “Secret Reward” — But Not the Reveal Some Expected

The 1.5 million tier had been labeled a “Secret Reward,” which naturally fueled speculation. Many hoped for something larger than another cosmetic — perhaps a new gameplay trailer or a behind-the-scenes feature.

Context, however, matters. The recent release delay may have reshaped the cadence of larger announcements within the broader PR campaign. WithSony’s State of Play just a day away (February 12, 2026, 11:00 PM CET) and IGN Fan Fest following next week (February 25–26, 2026, starting 7:00 PM CET daily), it is entirely possible that more significant reveals are being reserved for those stages. If so, today’s unlock may not represent the final highlight.
