It has now been 75 days since fans last saw substantial gameplay from 007: First Light during State of Play on September 3, 2025. Although there have been smaller updates and community beats since then, many fans have been hoping for additional insights — potentially even in the form of a new trailer.
That wait is finally ending, because the Xbox Partner Preview takes place this Thursday, November 20.
The official Xbox blog confirms that 007: First Light will appear during the broadcast, and with wording like “an exciting first look at content coming to 007 First Light,” Xbox.com invites speculation — even if it remains vague about what that “content” will be. Several media outlets, however, are already expecting fresh gameplay — and considering that the last major showcase with extended footage happened on PlayStation’s State of Play, it would make little sense for Xbox, as a direct competitor, to host the game only to present identical material. All signs point toward new footage being the far more likely outcome.
The Xbox Partner Preview will air digitally at 10 AM Pacific / 1 PM Eastern / 6 PM UK / 19:00 CET.
Fans can watch the showcase live across multiple platforms:
- YouTube.com/Xbox (in 4K at 60fps)
- Twitch.tv/Xbox
- Twitch.tv/XboxASL
- TikTok.com/@Xbox
- plus various regional Xbox channels worldwide
For me personally, this announcement comes as a genuine surprise. I wasn’t expecting 007: First Light to reappear before The Game Awards at all — which makes its sudden return even more exciting. After weeks without major gameplay news, it finally feels like fresh intel is on the way.
And yes, I’ll admit it: I’m hoping for a deeper look at the vehicles and their gadgets. In the last gameplay demo, it felt like the cars hadn’t quite shown their full potential yet — especially considering how central they can be to Bond’s identity. I’d also love to understand the License To Kill gameplay feature a bit better, as its exact impact on missions still isn’t entirely clear.
Will we see more of Bond’s rooftop fight against the henchman in London? Or does IOI take us to a completely new location this time?
What do you think?
